Do blog de Daniel Hannan, MEP conservador britânico:
If politicians wanted to do something useful, they would concentrate on ameliorating the effects of changes that they cannot control. Instead of spending gazillions in the hope of slowing climate change by a degree or two over the next hundred years, they would spend a fraction of that sum on helping communities adapt. Instead of trying to licence blogs, they would give Euro-sceptic bloggers less ammunition by cleaning up their act. And instead of pretending that they can stave off a recession - a recession made worse by their determination to hold interest rates down artificially during the boom years - they would help people deal with the downturn by cutting taxes.
