Durante a segunda guerra mundial as principais cidades polacas foram quase completamente destruídas. Parece-me admirável que durante a ocupação soviética alguém se tenha lembrado de reconstruir os centros históricos como eles eram anteriormente. Considerando a fealdade circundante (que os polacos agora tentam minorar pintando os monstros cinzentos em tons pastel) os centros parecem verdadeiras jóias.

During the second world war the main Polish cities were almost completely destroyed. I find it admirable that during the soviet occupation someone thought of rebuilding the historical centers as they were before. Considering the surrounding ugliness (which the Poles now try to minimize by painting the grey monsters in pastel colours) the centers glitter like jewels.
