Apart from his black fur, this bear could be mistaken for Winnie-the-Pooh with his head stuck in a jar full of honey.
(...) Like his fictional cousin, the black bear was caught out by his fondness for sugary treats after burying his head into the two-gallon plastic jar - the kind used for sweets or popcorn.
(...) The bewildered beast was first spotted by festival-goers celebrating Turkey Day in the backwoods town of Lake George, Minnesota, on July 21.
Park rangers spent six days trying to capture the bear to remove the container and move it safely back into its natural habitat in the thick of the forest.
(...) The tragic animal, which was just about able to breathe through the jug, couldn’t eat or drink and would eventually have died from dehydration and hunger.
Having failed to capture the beast and remove the jar, police were eventually forced to shoot it dead.

E não se lembraram de usar uma arma com tranquilizante para o pôr a dormir e salvá-lo?
Selvagens.
